If Shaquille O’Neal is confident his problematic big toe won’t hinder him during the playoffs, it’s because he has a two-pronged plan to have it ready — acupuncture and chiropractic. O’Neal “My secret weapons,” he said.

Taking his prescribed medication should help, too. O’Neal said he forgot to take it before Tuesday’s 107-66 blowout of the Hornets and that the oversight contributed to his nine-point, 10-rebound performance in 26 minutes.
Update: Shaq On Acupuncture
“I’ll get some acupuncture and get rid of it,” O’Neal said of the hamstring pain he described as more nagging than acute. “I’ve always been a connoisseur of ancient medicine.”
Acupuncture will have to wait for a while. The Lakers (53-11) play four more road games before returning to Los Angeles.
“I’ll have to wait until I get back to the crib (to get acupuncture),” O’Neal said.
The 7-foot-1 center perked up, though, when a Denver acupuncturist was recommended.
“Get me his phone number,” O’Neal said.
